described in Rev 6:1-8.
First seal is opened : a white horse appears, its rider held a bow (conquest).
(Rev 6:1-8 NIV) I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!" {2} I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
Second seal is opened : a red horse appears, its rider holds a sword (war)
{3} When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" {4} Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
Third seal is opened: a black horse appears, its rider holds a pair of scales (famine)
{5} When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. {6} Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
Fourth seal is opened : a pale horse appears, its rider is called Death
{7} When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" {8} I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
It is done.

Hmm, this is quite a lovely depiction of horses galloping through waves- However, I had no idea this was supposed to be revelant to the bible in any way, until I read the description.
I would have understood it to be more in relation to the bible, had you included the riders upon their horses here. After all, the riders - and the objects that the riders hold - (and Hades following behind the pale horse with Death) are obviously present and very important in the verses. Perhaps you may revisit this concept in the future, with the aforementioned additions?
A lovely picture, regardless that obviously did take a long time to do despite the fact it was already stated that it took four days to complete. It was well worth the effort put into it, IMHO :)

Aaah, well, yes - you did a great job on the horses!
I'm wanting to say that I'm sure your humans aren't awful, and that you're probably feeling as though they might be because sometimes artists who draw primarily quadrupedal animals find the switch to bipedal humans a bit difficult.
Noticing the subtle highlights, suggestions of feature variations and muscle definitions (etc.,etc.. including the scenery of the piece) of your equines, I want to feel you're perfectly capable of rendering the same believable and (dare I say?) realistic properties of a human. :)
I'd like to see you try them, although that is of course entirely up to you and just a suggestion.
In any case, keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you in the future!

well, the title pretty much says it all. this is only the 'beginning', and it will take time for it to actually become the 'end'. the time you have to perfect your current, and achieve new drawind skills. skills wich you can later use to revise this picture :) so don't say that it is 'done', don't swear it... :)
and about the picture - majestic looking conquest, mindless but determined war, surprized and fat looking famine, and far away, the elusive sad death. yep. details correct.
and the famine's face is like saying 'where did all the food go?'
and if you actually going to have some free time, you could check out Piers Anthony Jacob's book 'On a Pale Horse'.
