“Like riding a bike…”

You almost can’t even tell I don’t do traditional art anymore with this piece. It’s like I never stopped! Though I will admit, I did have trouble with the background composition and color scheme. The digital mindset made it difficult to grasp how I wanted it.

I was originally thinking of doing fall colors and started to do so at the bottom but then swapped to something more summer.

As for why I made this, this card is a gift for an aunt of mine! She is married to the uncle that came down to my building to assist with the renovation process. While my uncle was here, I asked what she might like for a gift and she said she actually wanted art of mine!

My aunt off to the side of her main profession raises completive show Portuguese waterdogs. With how waterdogs are trimmed up, it made me think of Furfrou. And the Shiny version of Furfrou makes them mostly black, just like waterdogs! So felt this would make a good gift for her. >w>
