I kept hearing this dialogue exchange between Gabe and Gaze for the longest time and I had to do it. I haven’t don’t the InnerDemons AU in a while, and since I mentioned before these two have a kind of Eddie and Venom relationship, it only felt right to use a quote from the movie. Gabe knows that Inner Demons require a very different diet than their Hosts (what people who have Inner Demons are called), but Gaze is a little too indiscriminate with who he eats. Since this is an AU, the Gaze in this universe isn’t the same as Original Gaze.

He’s actually meaner and more violent here, which I felt would be better for some real turmoil between him and Gabe, who would prefer to be as discreet as possible and stick to a pacifist route as long as possible. Hosts can speak to their Inners only when in a deep meditative state, which is the only time they can physically look at one another. It’s typically just to check in, as the Host can undergo a lot of stress with their Inner. In this case, though, Gabe just wants Gaze to think a little more about who he eats, especially considering how big he is, which means he needs to eat a lot.
