During the second World War, the French has commissioned a multitude of Mas-36(s) for its forces to which 1.1 million were fabricated before their production ceased in 1951-52 and used in 18 different battles. However as many of the lost weapons made contact with exterior forces, many other countries and rebellions were able to use the rifle.

This rifle in particular, taken from a corpse near Cork, from a police holdup whom took it from illegal rebellious folks and was reformed with an M1 grand's scope for easier sight, the heads of axes for a bayonet and a subsonic chamber to ease the sounds produced from the rifle. Plus the added chipping to the trigger to allow ease of access for gloves.

With all but one of the engravings being formed by Dr. Scallen's own hands to keep himself focused.
