A sketch(?) I've been picking away at for a few weeks. I started with a collage process of older pieces again, and you can swipe through on my twitter or ig (spikieamr on twitter and spikievstheuniverse on ig) and see some of the journey (and a version with reflected lights that felt a bit too busy). These are a lot different from when I plan an illustration, much more about responding to what appears as I mush stuff around.

It's fun to see what kind of character ends up coming through! The deer was actually a student in an illustration I did in college, so now it seems I've inadvertently drawn him all grown up. Dialoguing with my old work is a lot of fun!
