When Chiara said "I'm never letting you go!", she meant that a /lot/ more literally than Takan had anticipated.
He found out two seconds later when she just latched onto him, giggling maniacally.
"Oi!" he exclaimed, trying to reach for her, but it was too late.
He was trapped already, Chiara's arms slung around his neck, and her fangs biting down on his ram-like horns.

There are worse situations to be in, though.
He laughed again, and ruffled her hair, accompanied by her muffled squeaking protest.

Love feels a lot better than he had thought.
Maybe he can get used to this, after all.
