I feel like I'm missing something here. What is the point of Gawain forcing WW5 taking the crown, beyond making WW5 uncomfortable? Prevent him from returning to Elfhaime? Causing Elfhame to lose its "ruler"? (Obviously, he doesn't know about the Doe-Moot ) Make him Quality at the expense of the common people? (Yet, the populous are supportive of the Winterboughs)
I wonder how this is going to play out after Gawain's inevitable fall.
After all violating the guest's rules under hospitality by consorting with and abetting the plans of two traitors to the crown* (Yes the crown itself and what it represents, /not/ fifth himself per se), Could be seen as an act of war against Westpocket, could it not?
I'm sure, at the very least, that someone's father is going to have some harsh words for a certain smug bastard.
* A certain pair of Roe deer, whom I suspect will not prosper and thrive after this adventure.
