needed another ref for my OC Subzero that wasn't my ugly ass 2021 art, and by another ref I mean just recoloring that one Fury lineart of mine for the hundredth time because I'm lazy

Also fun facts/headcanons about my Arctic Fury/Ice Fury species for my HTTYD3 AU, just for fun:

- instead of fire, Arctic Furies have ice breaths like the Bewilderbeast. They breathe out cold mist that instantly freezes anything on contact
- they can still cloak like the canon Light Fury does, with a similar mechanism where they coat themselves in an icy sheen that makes their scales clear and reflective as glass for several seconds. It doesn’t JUST work for camoflauge but is also an effective mechanism in hunting and battle. Turning themselves reflective makes their opponents/prey stop in their tracks and confuses them with distorted reflections of themselves, giving the Ice Furies the opportunity to catch them off guard. Turning invisible also allows them to fire blasts from long range distances without getting caught
- though they aren’t semi-aquatic like their cousins the Tide Fury, Ice Furies can hold their breath for a long time and are often better swimmers than regular Night Furies. They often dive and glide underwater to catch fish like some bird species do. They’re also known for ambushing prey by stalking them under the ice and then breaking through to catch them, not unlike leopard seals
- Arctic Furies function like penguins, where the females go hunting to find food for the babies and the males guard the eggs until they hatch. Yes this even happens with Toothless and Subzero when they mate
