Our little pigeon abandoned her nest. We even started going out the back door in an attempt to bring her disturbances to a minimum. She was a single bird trying to hatch them, usually pigeons work in pairs, so one can keep the eggs warm while the other forages for food. It's possible her eggs would never have hatched and that caused her to abandon them. She's been trying to nest on our front porch for the last couple years, I think next year what we'll do is put a place for her to nest on the back porch where she won't be disturbed anywhere near as much.

I was really looking forward to taking photos of her chicks as they grew up and stuff, really sad to see it end up the way it did. All that's left now is this feather that she dropped. Better luck next year little birdie.
