This is a tigress tabaxi NPC from my D&D campaign. I plan to eventually draw her digitally, because her unique golden color is lost in pencil sketch. Overall, really happy with how her markings turned out!
The party never had the chance to meet Hemani because she died decades ago, but the far-reaching consequences of her life are still felt within the City of Splendors. She was known for her striking beauty, unending kindness, poise, and social grace.
I based her design on the real-world "golden tiger" coloration, which is caused by a rare recessive gene. Golden tigers tend to be larger in size, and their fur is much softer than normal orange tigers due to the way the gene affects the hair follicles. There are thought to be less than 30 golden tigers in the world.
