Tengu

This is an ancient unsociable creature that lives deep in the mountains. All that reminds of him is the quiet ringing of a bell hanging around his neck, which local old people sometimes hear.

Tengu found the bloody wars that unfolded between people and deities, he fought for his tribe more like a demon than a god, and in battle he lost both eyes and both wings, which made him look more like a creature from the underworld than a fantastic divine essence. Despite this, he continues, forgetting about himself, to tear the enemy troops with fangs and claws until the war is over.

Then he went back to his native mountain forest, but, unfortunately, not a single individual of his kind was there anymore. He was met by a lonely monk who belonged to the village that once worshiped them. He hung a bell on it to hear his approach. A few decades later, the monk died, leaving behind a quiet grave in the thicket of the forest. Since then, Tengu has guarded her and has not left those mountains.
