That is to say, MY entry for My good friend from across the pond(tee-hee), Drakhenliche's contest: http://drakhenliche.deviantart.com/.....urnal/7509066/
The rules were simple, draw one of her characters, in this case, the lovely and very personable, Blackjack, with another one of hers, or one of the contest's, in this case, the swashbuckling, and cheery, Captain Bones, doing whatever...
...in this case, about to practice some math on eachother... focused primarily on division, heh heh.
I'll let the pic speak for itself, and just close with, I REALLY enjoyed drawing this.
(Okay, I'll say a bit more) Drakhenliche is one of those artists, that just looking at her work, you just can't HELP but want to do better. She is so talented and puts so much hard work and detail into every piece she does, I felt it necessary to return the favor, and more than just a contest entry, pay tribute to the awesome work that she does. And with any contest, where entering, I don'really care about winning, with this one, I just really wanted t'make a quality piece of art.
So, cheers t'you Izzy!

Thanks.
-I use a .5 Mechanical Pencil. In fact, you JUST missed the contest in which I gave away the last pencil that's now retired. Maybe in another couple years I'll hold one for My current one, heh heh... Oh, and it's a PhD Blue, Mechanical Pencil.
-Yes or No, heh heh. A LOT, I'll start sketching on a piece, and be okay if it doesn't go the way I want it to. So I'll maybe finish the sketch and work out some things with posings and what not that I want t'see happen in the finished pic. However, very rarely, like in THIS case, I'll just NAIL a pic the first time, and just finish it up... And there are of course a lot of My usual pics which I spend no more than 30 minutes on t'begin with, and just finish it with no previous sketch, just the idea in the head. What makes My 30 minute pics and My more fine polished pics is a very fine line, heh heh.

I don't think I'm able to draw anything properly without doing a lot of sketches before starting with the actual drawing - thus my drawings do often look somewhat cluttered. That's one of the reasons why I prefer to draw digitally as it allows me to work with layers and erase as often as I want to... I don't know why it is like that but often I also have the feeling that I have a lot more patience when drawing something with the help of the computer. But to be honest that's something I'm not too happy about, I wish it was like that as well when I draw with a normal pencil :/
