A design for a dragon I am planning to use in an RP.
This seadragoness has adapted to icy waters, her stomach and lower body covered in feathers similar to that of a penguin. They keep insulation, but are poor protection compared to scales, which is why she is more muscular in nature, her wings shrunken back, no longer able to support the bulkier muscles. There is also a bony covering over the top of the head, for fighting as well as breaking through ice to reach the surface. Not the quickest of swimmers, but able to swim very long distances. Even in the coldest weather her body is designed to conserve as much energy and heat as possible.
