Hell, with some people it doesn't stop after they stop being teenagers. I can tell you right now that I know of one person (not naming names, but she was twice my age thirteen years ago), who, I kid you not, would never do what I asked of her, but at one point would ONLY do the things I explicitly asked her NOT to do. Like in one ear and out the other upside down. Seriously, it got so bad that we needed an intervention. Hell, I STILL need therapy for having to deal with her "contrary" nature for 10+ years straight.
