Baaaaaaaaad idea, when the resulting slush will just freeze up again overnight and turn the place into a dangerous ice rink. You have to shovel that shit while it's still both solid and soft.

Ah, just roll out the car and run around on top of the white stuff until it's gone! You know you can do it!

(I awoke to something like that 1995. Our neighbour tried to roll out his car, then abandoned it in the middle of the road when he couldn't get anywhere. I managed to talk him into helping to push it off the street, back to the parking. 30 mins after that the first snow plough passed the spot where he had originally left his car. I felt proud.)

We got off easy in Cincinnati. A little ice, then it got up to 40 over night and melted everything.

Yeah... I'm just glad Fairfield got on top of salting stuff. Now, if the landlord would just do the same at work, the world would be roses.
