This was my first and only painting, done during my college days, with guash. Guash is a nice thick paint. I can't stand the thin, runny kind.
The manticore didn't come from my head. He was on the cover of a Xanth novel by Piers Anthony. I thought he looked cool, and decided to paint him. I whipped up a crappy background, just to give him someplace to sit.

Well, if I thought building on SL was a waste then I wouldn't have been doing it all this time, would I? :)
It's actually very rewarding, when SL is stable enough to allow me to finish a project. But thank you all the same for your kind words about the painting. Truth is, I gave paints a try, but its just not for me.
