Lycanthropy, depending on it's lore. Is oft considered either a curse, a disease, or a cursed disease (Hence the whole silver being dangerous to it)
Something about purity of the metal and it's natural anti bacterial/microbial properties

Usually lycanthropy, when we're talking about our OCs, can be passed through bodily fluids, so, of course, also sexual fluids... but this case is different!
In our gargoyle headcanon/AU, this is not true lycanthropy: Fox has magical powers (because her mother is Titania, of course) and, exercising and studying, she learnt how to shapeshift. She's comfortable in this form, looking like a lycan, so she often stays in it.
Oh, and their son Alex, of course, does not have lycanhropy... but when he will be old enough, he will be able to shapeshift too.
So, well, since this is not a disease and can't be passed through, whatever David does with her won't transform him too.
