You know what? I've been directed to gimp so many times. This time, I'm going to do it. Thanks, Tessy
Surprisingly, it's like Photoshop but I can't remember how to use it. Most importantly how to use the layers correctly.
I think there's a "help" thing in the program you can use for information... but the easy way to explain layers is the lowest one is the BG and the ones above it go over it like layers of paper... to make a new layer, there's a little button beneath the spot where they show the layers.

Go to the "layer" tab and look for "layer to image size." That should be it...
