Coelognathus radiatus.
The Radiated Rat Snake is an animal with the nature of a drunken berserk. Although non-venomous, it will readily show off with an extraordinary ferocity if harrassed and one will often encounter it with a flattened neck and widely opened mouth, a most typical threatening gesture. Even the smallest juveniles are in no way inferior to their adult relatives when it comes to aggressive posing. And yet, it might be this exact ferocity that makes it such a popular snake in all kinds of Thai snake shows, where it is almost always presented.
Although harmless to humans and lacking any enlarged fangs, this snake has, most surprisingly, a reported presence of so called three-fingered toxins in its glands, suggesting that it may be able to kill its prey not only through constriction.
