Based on an scene idea where after hearing someone say "I know what I'm doing" all the whiles in their head saying "What the fuck is this" Hallrix proceeds to give this annoyed reaction.
Which happens a fair amount given his ability to read minds.

Artwork comment -
Wanted to do something more "complex", I liked his lineart so I at least seemed to improve in that department, but I also decided to go other board purely to see where I am in terms of skill so far. I've certainly got a lot to learn especially with some parts of the drawing and ESPECIALLY the shading, but at least it's not a complete eyesore. The 'fluff' on the coat was a struggle so I kinda just gave in and did it the way it currently is.
I also wanted to give Hallrix some love since his heroforge was kinda lacking especially not showing his fluff for someone who lives on a literal frozen planet, and since I've been thinking about him a lot, think during my development of learning to draw I'll work on characters who I have a form of reference for, but also would prefer to see them drawn in art form.
Hallrix as a character to draw provided a good amount of challenge to push myself out of my comfort zone both due to his clothing, hair and even his facial markings.
I think for this, I'll just leave it on my gallery and put the alternatives that show lineart, flat colours and such in my scraps.

Character Info -
Hallrix or at least this version of him is specifically from a story/idea of mine set in a Sci-fi era, the cape being part of a group "uniform" of a high ranking space fighter. He was "forcibly" recruited by Felix though later more convinced by Xavavious to stay. Worth noting that Felix threatened that Hallrix would be killed if he ran off but even Xav said "He won't since he'd get me to do it and I'd refuse." And just gave him the freedom to choose and actually pitched the offer far better.
Hallrix lived on a frozen planet far away from town due to his powers or "curse" depending on who you ask, the markings around his eyes were given to him at a young age as part of the tradition of the town for those with the very rare ability to read minds, originally it was done to segregate and warn people but they eventually changed their way and instead more protect them. In terms of lore/world building he is one of the few people with the ability, the other literally being his grandmother who of which he spent a lot of time with learning of his powers and literally having non-verbal communication between one and another with their mind reading abilities, he tries to visit as much as he can. I might right a small story based on that at some point, or add it to the main story as a kinda backstory for him, idk.
Hallrix is not able to fully control his ability though and will unwillingly hear people's thoughts when they are near him, but only for active thoughts like thinking what you want to eat tonight, though he can focus his energy into digging deeper into your mind for memories and such, though he rarely does that aside from doing interrogation.

He is the "Diplomat" of the crew and "interrogator" given his ability, a fun fact is that this expression drawn is something he does fairly often when people forget he can literally read their minds and they just lie to his face about stuff. He mostly gets along with Xavavious since of all people he actually remembers nor does he "freak out" about the powers, he even just feels comfortable since the two often just mentally talk to each other as Hallrix is also able to mentally communicate to people.
