Some say he is a lost cause. Too-far-gone. Iredeemable. And I get that. Fratricide is nothing to scoff at. But at the same time... He's got the looks, he's got the wits, he's got the voice, he can sing, he is funny... *sigh* why are the evil ones always so alluring?

My mind says "no", but my aromantic heart says "I can change his ways"

Maybe he just needed to feel loved. And you know what they say: the quickest way to a tyrant lion’s heart is through his stomach!

I like Scar. And by that I mean that I really like Scar from the Lion King. Which is a double edged sword: on one hand, I get to imagine all sort of scenarios with that lanky lion becoming a less evil pampered house cat.

On the other hand, though, whenever some artist publishes any instance of him being fattened up, everything else in my life becomes comparatively irrelevant. My mind can no longer think of anything else. And I get compelled to draw him.

So about a day ago, the artist husky2paws drew this magnificent rendition of anthro Scar going to town on some leftover zebra, and... well... I had to do something bout it. Seriously, if you haven't checked it out, you are missing out!

And thus even though I was about to head to bed, I decided to spend about an hour and a half playing with the symmetry tool in Procreate. Instead of heavily relying on the Disney style, this time I tried to draw a lion base in my personal style and add the quintesential characteristics of Scar: the scruffy mane, the angular cheeks, the disdainful stare, the sunken eyes... and of course, the scar. I am fairly happy with the outcome!!
