I opened my back door as the last light was fading from the western sky and discovered Venus and a crescent Moon putting on a show for me. Look closely and you can see some high very thin clouds just slightly dimmer than the Earthshine on the night side of the Moon. Venus, of course, is the bright point of light near the bottom of the frame. The faint spot above and slightly to the right of the moon is the star Elnath. With an apparent magnitude of 1.65, Elnath is also known as Beta Tauri, the second-brightest star in the constellation of Taurus the bull.

Yeah, well, I turned 66 this year and collected cameras before I hit my teens. I've seen a few flashbulbs. I think I have #5 and #25 chicken egg bulbs with blue dots on them, and most of a box of the BIG ones with the Edison base and 40-watt-sized bulbs.
I was struck by lightning about thirty years ago. I was washing dishes while watching ball lightning playing out by the well house. All of a sudden the ball lightning went into the ground and I went on my keister. my hands felt like someone had belted them with a 4X4.

63 here. I have vivid memories of my grandma's second husband and his Polaroid camera with a flash bulb attachment. As a kid, I had a Kodak Instamatic camera that took 126 cartridges and used flash cubes.
The house across the street from us had an incredibly tall pine tree in the yard. After our neighbor got struck on two separate occasions while standing near it, he had that tree cut down.

True, and I may give that a try sometime. Maybe on a really clear night with a crescent moon. This was kind of a hurried shot. Not that Venus and the Moon were going anywhere, but I wanted to catch a hint of the blue twilight remaining in the sky. That was fading fast and I didn’t get nearly as much as I’d hoped. I appreciate the suggestion.
