Also, the textured background is really good and pulls everything together (and I'm curious how you did it)

There's a default texture on Medibang I used because I was lazy. So it's: Plain black background > Texture (but purpled) > splatter brush > play with opacity as needed.

I'm honestly figuring out a lot of stuff and retconning a bunch (their name is just Kynro, now; that was their original name and I'm not sure why I changed it because I never liked it as much. Maybe I'll make it Vassakynro, all one word, like the needlessly complicated goetic names lol). So much of their backstory hinged on me trying really hard to integrate them with the Parisian catacombs because I thought it'd be LOL SPOOOOOOKY, but I. I dunno.

I could do better.
