I can agree with the needing of thicker lines. I'm still trying to over-ride my normal line structure which favors thinner lines. Its why it can be a might difficult to imitate thicker lined styles. Not sure if I want to make the lineart darker though. Already being a darker pony then pretty much most of the shows pony's, I want the lineart to still look colored without blacking it out. :3 Though on the other hand since I'm still working with the design, the colors themselves aren't exactly finalized either XD

As far as actual looks I don't mind either or. Though I do like the head shape a little better in the older ponies. Though as far as story and such is concerned...I used to watched some of the older ponies, especially the movie. I have to say I prefer the newer version by far. I guess the older ponies just didn't age well with me.

BTW the pet expo (or the dog expo) was lame and had no reptiles.

I had a not so secret plan to draw our entire group as ponies :D But yours is the only one I'm having trouble thinking of a butt mark for ^^;

Finding a parking spot was hell. They didn't have the place clear of ice and no one directing traffic. They had one section for ferrets, parrots, rabbits and gerbils. No cat section.
