Helix is going through some changes...
His scales and such, that normally give off color, are absorbing all light around him.
That is why it is so dark! The 3 bluish marks you see are an insignia to his metamorphosis, his new self, and hope. This darkening effect is only temporary!!
Once he is done, this will stop and his normal colors will come back, plus he will be slightly different.
