'those that survive'
Well that's the catch isn't it? I read somewhere that they've determined genetically that throughout history 80% of women have had children but only 40% of men.
Also that men don't do dumb dangerous stuff to impress women, they do it to impress other men, the same way women don't actually wear nice clothes and make-up etc to attract men, it's for the benefit of other women, in a competitive sense.
I don't consider that to be entirely accurate but there's certainly an element of truth to it.

I think you might be right... for me, I never really liked all that goop on a person's face, and I've seen some really overdone ladies... of course it has a lot to do with what is popular at the time. When I was a child, the beehive hair-doo was a big thing. These days they're rather considered silly.

Another good one Vix.
I was rather curious by the writing next to the fuel cap, looked it up and got a lesson in aviation fuel. A private pilot has a lot going on.

*laughs... 100LL (low lead) is the direct result of the government leveling restrictions. Remember how leaded gas use to gunk up the spark plugs? It was also causing massive pollution problems in places like NYC - smog.
The Germans, during WWII were using 60 octane. I read a story in one of the books Gloria got me that said their scientist were testing the fuel in a downed B-17 and laughed because they thought our distilleries had a massive lead incursion/leak contaminating the fuel.
The old piston aircraft were using 140 octane (I think it was purple in color) and doing away with it to 100LL almost killed the cargo business because the engines could not obtain the power they once had.
