Beyond her intimidating size and musculature, Glacial is an accomplished mechanic and serves in this capacity as head of Machine Dept. over at ZT HQ where here job is overseeing the transition from blue-print to protoype as the lofty ideals of the engineering department crash headlong into the brutal reality of material science.
Glacial’s skill in mechanics comes from a young age dabbling with spare parts and self-assembling toys out of robust but otherwise scrap materials. Her admiration for good design led her to initially try her hand at being an architect, but she could not find any jobs outside of construction nor could she afford the schooling necessary to become an engineer or drafter. Working hands on with materials did give her a firm appreciation for well designed equipment and a healthy dose of practical material science.
Despite her towering stature, Glacial has demonstrated exceptional care when working with sensitive electronics and delicate machinery. She was an easy selection from interviewees at ZakuraTech when they expanded operations. It didn’t hurt that her direct supervisors appreciated her blunt critiques and somewhat wry sense of humor. She quickly ascended to head mechanic.
She directly works under Sarah Earle to help design and maintain a variety of devices; However her machine shop is routinely tapped to help assemble protoypes - a job she warily delegates to her two immediate workers - Mirtel and Fenric, whose talent and work ethic is matched only by their ceaseless bickering.
Never-the-less, while she might growl under her breath at the work schedule and her underlings irrelevant chatter, she greatly enjoys her work and takes great pride in seeing her efforts put to work in the real world.
