Topaz doesn't think themselves as particularly special, unless you count having a cute stripey butt as significant - they are simply a chill equine who runs a hoofer-centric bar “The Cloven Hoof,”. Although it wasn’t her first business venture, its a role she has since adopted whole heartedly.
Topaz initially had higher ambitions with her MBA; she helped start up an inner-city produce... producer called VegTable. The idea was a non-profit that would let folks lease their green spaces and properties to grow produce. They’d get a tax write off for anything donated to local food banks in return. She never quite expected it to take off the way it did - and the workload quickly became overwhelming. But she felt obligated to carry on doing the work since it benefited so many.
On the verge of burnout one of the folks whose property they had been using was retiring and offered to sell the a disused store-front to Topaz who refurbished it as a brewery-pub and found the work more personable and fulfilling than the managerial role she had backed herself into prior. She soon transitioned careers although she still helps out her former colleagues when the opportunity arises.
Non-profits aside, they've an interest in hand-crafted goods and artistry which pairs well with their love of festivals. They particularly love scoping out cool local scenes but aren't adverse to little urban adventures if you know a cool spot!
