Commission: Witchy Morgan
Commission for QWyke on Discord of their character Morgan! A witchy weasel toiling at a bubbling brew, hope you're ready for a taste...
They asked for a vintage woodcut print style, and after looking around at references, I think I managed to get a decent likeness to it in digital. Even finagled a yellowed paper texture in there for added effect, which I think adds quite a bit to it!
I'm wondering if I shouldn't offer more of that style of commission, now that I've done one and figured out it was quite fun... I'm probably not gonna start on actual woodcut printing (or am I...?), but I like hatching, monochrome and strong contrasts, so this digital pastiche seems like it could be nice to do again, if anyone wants one.
