I knew right away when I was starting on my 80s sci-fi inspired crew that one of them was going to be a dinosaur due to the amount of dinosaurs in cartoons I remember growing up (Dinosaucers, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Dinoriders, Land Before Time, etc etc...) Since these characters are like a cross between the cheesy Star Wars rip-off movies of the 80s and 80s cartoons, it really fits.

Sev is the pilot of the Sunrunner, though she is a formidable fighter in her own right.
I also wanted to flip the stereotypes of carnivores = bad guys and herbivores = good guys by making one of the heroes of a carnivorous species while one of the villains of this settings will be an herbivore.
