Alysanne and Alystair are two siblings of the royal house of Emitaire who govern the area known as "the marches" which stands between the treacherous mountain clans of ratment/lizardfolk and the more medieval kingdoms that hug the great rivers of the Winewell Basin. This area is unique as the margraves are not the dominant class of "lapines" (rabbitfolk) which are seen as the highest of the herbivores in the structural society of the basin, seeing the duty of protecting the kingdom do be performed by the lower class of equines. The royal line of Emitaire has always been particularly vulnerable to the influence of the Seers, being graced as avatars throughout generation for ill or good. Alysanne would become a paragon of light and order as she was knighted by Kaira https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34748685/ herself, while her brother would find himself found to have a unsettling connection to nature. That connection would fester over years, eventually allowing his values to align with those espoused by Phraedus https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43237249/ . Her brother would take his place as one of the wild shamans, pledging to destroy the lands her sister was sworn to defend in a twist of cruel irony.
