When RJ first got his cybernetics he wore covers to make them look like normal arms, but after he kept snagging and tearing them on things he just gave up and stopped wearing them.

My dude only had his eyes replaced. I reckon it was after an combat-accident injury (Flashbang exploded too close?). He had to later his first gen cybereyes replaced after a hacker burnt them out. Got some top shelf stuff instead.
