And here is the current itteration of my feathery mid life crisis... Now matter how you slice it, there is always the feathers, the beak, the talons. Deep down inside I'm just a silly, angry, or sometime amorous bird.
Drawn with pencil and then inked with PITT pens ... pencil sketch was about 12 minutes, ink was a few more. This one just jumped out on to the paper.
There will likely be more to come, I'm drawing a few action poses of this one. I plan to work on the crest feathers a bit, aiming more for the roadrunner style frill. This version has a decent back story (for Champions Online) and I think some writing potential.
What do you folks/furs/feathers/scalies think?

Hehe, ATARI~ Now there's a blast from the past. Oh yeah, the bird! The bird looks cool, and there aren't enough bird heroes out there. Most birds are evil villains, 'cause they steal ur shinies. The desert theme is cool, too. I've been having the winter blues, and a trip to the desert (like say, the Sonoran desert) would be thereapeutic. I miss the sun and the warmth.
