Just something that came to mind a while ago.

Within the large walls of this massive tower a one-tailed phox meditated in the middle of the room with a spotlight above him. The air was dull and the space silent. In front of him, a golden orb hovered, glowing as beautifully as the sun. The phox opened his pink eyes to face the golden orb, seeing his own reflection.
Just past the golden orb, three spotlights hovered over three additional orbs: one black, one white, and the other gray.
“We’ve done all we can to train you for now, Zen,” spoke a soft feminine voice pulsing from the gray orb in the center.
“The rest is up to you. Your challenges are above each floor. You’ll know you’re ready for anything if you can leave this place,” spoke a stern yet soothing voice from the black one.
“Do not hold back,” spoke a strong and determined feminine voice from the white orb. “Use whatever means necessary to make sure you get out alive.”
“Outside this building,” continued the voice in the black orb. “The world has collapsed. You’ll need to put it back together. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone for too long. You’ll find others who can help but for now, you’ll have to show your strength against the creatures against you.”
Zen slowly stood up after hearing the three voices. “Thank you for all the training so far. I’ll get out of here, and we’ll be a family again. All thirteen of us,” Zen said with a slight chuckle.
“We’re looking forward to it,” the black orbed voice said. “Good luck, we’ll be waiting for that day to come.” His orb shrunk and approached Zen. Zen held out his paw and the black orb disappeared into his hand.
“It’s only a matter of time, be patient,” said the voice from the gray orb. It also shrunk and sunk into Zen’s hand.
“I have more to tell you, but that day will come sooner than we think. Make our family proud,” said the voice from the white orb. When her orb shrunk and disappeared into Zen, Zen glowed and took a breath, smiling to himself. He turned around with his golden orb floating around his body. It also sunk into his body as Zen made his way to the staircase. After climbing for a few moments, he approached two large doors. Zen placed both hands on it and opened it.
The doors took him from the dark, empty, soundless space, to what looked like a still ocean. With water ranging as far as he could see, his only path was the one forward that led to a large square platform. He prepared himself as he walked forward and reached the platform.
The water around the arena traveled up and toward the center of the platform where a silhouette of a human made of water appeared. It got into a fighting stance. Zen took a Bagua stance low to the ground and got ready. After a brief silence, the fighter rushed at Zen, and Zen approached his first trial.
