I got inspired by this scene just thinking about how in Simba's song, his message seems a little lost on Kiara.
Simba fought hard to take back his home, and I could see him remembering that often, especially in this moment when they're both looking up at Pride Rock. He seems like he's presenting the symbol of their home and heritage to her proudly, something worth being Queen for, then he looks back up as if confused; I guess in my head I imagined he could be realizing she doesn't see it the same way he does.

Anyway, this was so super fun! The background is completely hand-drawn and painted, using the screenshot above as a reference, and Simba is freehanded as well, I simply used some references for his design purposes.
