Here we have Brenda’s brief origin.
Brenda hails from a dimension where Earth managed to forge connections with the intergalactic community nearly 200 years prior to her birth. As such, Brenda has grown up around such things as the likes of aliens and space travel.
Brenda herself is a part of the wealthy Tennyson family. The Tennysons were able to amass their great wealth long ago through the establishment of exclusive interstellar technology and trade deals that they jumped to the moment they could. Over time, this blossomed into a variety of other businesses that became Tennyson Industries. Of note, Brenda’s father is actually the creator of Sumo Slammers in this setting.
Brenda, due to her overall environment, tends to come off very egotistical and full of herself. She can be rather loud and obnoxious, not to mention spoiled and equally frivolous when it comes to the spending of money on anything that catches her eye. The very example of pampered princess.
Despite this, she does possess a love for the ideas and concepts of heroes, and holds a fascination for magical girls. Ever since she was little, she always idolized her world’s Grandpa Max, who was considered to be one of the greatest heroes in the galaxy, and always loved to hear him tell stories of his adventures. Though he has largely gone into retirement from his hero days, he still tries to help others whenever he can.
Brenda’s version of Gwen is actually her twin sister in this dimension. Unlike Brenda, Gwen tends to be rather shy and prone to keeping to herself. She loves to take pictures, sew, and collect stuffed animals. The two of them get along really well. For Brenda, due to how hard her personality tends to make it for others to get to know her, leading to her not exactly having any actual friends, she considers her sister to be the closest thing to one. This is likewise true for Gwen.
Though Brenda had been looking forward to going on the family cruise, it seems as if it wasn’t meant to be. Upon obtaining the Omnitrix, it was decided by her grandfather that she and her sister would accompany him on a trip around the galaxy. The reasoning behind this was that her grandfather felt that the device had the potential to make her a great hero, and there was no sense in squandering that potential. Not to mention that in order to become a great hero, she would need to get out there and help those in need and mingle among all kinds of people from many walks of life. He also felt that the trip would help Gwen open up more as well.
However, perhaps the worst thing of all for Brenda, was hearing about the possibility of sometimes camping out!
