The misty effect is rather lovely and does add to the fun of the scene, and the tickling fungi are rather adorable as well as is Maube himself.
I could imagine the fungi perhaps releasing clouds of spores amongst the mist, maybe if breathed in having the effect of making someone feel even more ticklish and perhaps having mild tickle-themed hallucinations to add to the fun.
