This is a book on the radio and television adaptations of the Sherlock holmes stories by Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle. It was published by kaleidoscope last year.
The dvd that comes with it features a Dutch documentary from 1971 about Sherlock homes and features interviews with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. It also contains six clips from six missing episodes of the second season of the BBC Sherlock Holmes series from 1968 that was made in colour for BBC2. The episodes were broadcasted in Flanders, the Dutch speaking half of Belgium. The clips however survived as they were telerecorded to 16mm black and white film for a weekly show called “do you like what you see?” which discussed upcoming programmes of the week. They were found in the archives of BRT in Belgium. The six clips were identified from the episodes that were missing and were then returned to the BBC via kaleidoscope and have been restored, vidFIRED and recolourised to their original colour.
