My childhood town is unrecognizable. I mean completely different to the point of "where the hell am I?"
When I was a kid it was a gritty rust belt town with some character.
Now it's a gentrified tourist trap with condos. Nobody I knew lives there anymore because the cost of living sky rocketed and everybody got pushed out to neighboring small towns which are more or less still frozen in time.
