Believe it or not, I actually drew this a couple of years AFTER the Academy, on my first Valentine's Day after the separation when I learned that, while I was living in the trailer of the handyman of the motel I work at, she was going on dates less than a month later. Despite that, however, this actually IS one of my better pics, IMHO, despite TOTALLY fucking up their hands and wrists.

as i was sayin'.....Maisy's expression there is just perfect, and so are Min's and what's his name's...the hands are a minor quibble at best in this pose and could have been forgiven even if it wasn't a sketch. you're a little too hard on yourself (he said, knowing he'd just described nearly every artist in human history)
