So, we've seen Zuki with her sometimes-girlfriend...now let's introduce her one-time boyfriend.
...I'll wait a second for the jaws to be picked up off the floor. Done? Alright.
See, at the time I first created St. Harryhausen's Academy, things were...tense between Shin-Goji and the K-Girl artists. I won't go into details since it's largely water under the bridge (I seem to be the only one not forgiven, surprise-surprise), but while the Academy was intended as an alternate location for K-Girl art (since, at the time, Shin was planning on closing the galleries for the first of many, many, many times), I decided I'd rather work with a cast of my own, so I began creating several would-be students, starting with this pair originally intended for the K-Juniors.
This is Gil, based on the Godzillasaurus I mentioned in the Dorats' pic, and Joey, based on the other famous stop-motion ape, Mighty Joe Young. They were created primarily to flesh out and diversify the K-Juniors roster, but, almost by accident, they ended up as Maisy's rivals for the affections of her (at the time) two closest girl-friends, Min-Chan and Zuki respectively. In fact, Gil became a much more direct rival to Maisy, lording over her that no matter how much stronger or more powerful than him she may be, he'll always win when it comes to Min because she, unlike every other K-Girl, is straight.
Yeah, I got some weird issues going on. I know.
As for Joey, on the other hand, he stands out as one of the only males the V2/Academy/raging bull-dyke version of Maisy actually LIKES and approves of...which caused another weird triangle since, in the scrapped Academy story, Zuki is actually falling for MAISY, but, since she knew Maisy was mooning over Min-Chan, she decided to go with Joey in the hopes of maybe using him to pry Gil away from her. Not that the two didn't get along, of course...they happily boffed each other every chance they got (for some reason, Academy!Zuki was a total nympho...*shrug*) and Joey's thoughts on the matter were, as Bob Segar once sang, "I used her, she used me, but neither one cared/ Cuz' we were gettin' our share."
I may revisit these two. Despite their shallow and ultimately antagonistic purposes, I do like them. At the very least, I'll probably gender-flip Joey into a girl since you can NEVER have enough furry K-Girls.

if joey were a canon character, i'd finally be able to use a whooooole lotta sasquach jokes i've been sitting on. also, i feel Joey needs to remain a guy if only for the fact he's the first character i've seen that could play the "dopey sidekick" to Guy Kim just by looks. and Kim needs him a Sancho Panza for when he tilts at the wrong D-cup windmill....
gil has the most aloof douche face ever. many people have failed to get the "you're just mad you're not me and it's so boring o deal with you" right, but man did i want to stuff him in a dumpster when i clicked the link.
