Poor Batu', his master had offered him freedom. And he went into a state of pure shock, and then panic. A life based around slavery for as long as his... offered to leave all of that, it's like tossing his own life away. All those years, wasted.

So yeah, he panicked. He doesn't know what to think, even though his master had then promised not to let him go when he was panicking. In one ear, out the other. >.<

So, yeah. I captured that one moment when he paused all movement and breathing-- shock.
