One of my mom's coworkers at Walmart got an award for working there for over 15 years... upon receiving said award, she immediately tossed it in the trash, in front of everyone, and walked out. She hates working there... like most of the people there, including my mom, do... because most of the employees are lazy jerks who expect people like my mom to do all the work FOR them. The lady who received the award is like my mom. A workhorse that gets dumped on with even more work.
"Congratulations, you get to sit on the Pain Management Committee. What? A raise? No, silly, it's for quality improvement! You want to improve (quality/skills base/experience/patient satisfaction/government compliance/etc.), don't you?!"
