Steve: Don’t grab the door handle, kid! Put your arm outside the plane, the other one on the door frame and stand closer to the edge!
Nick: B-But w-what if I fall out?
Steve: You’re gonna get out there anyways! And I'm there too, so just relax! And look UP when you exit, not down, helps a lot!
Nick: Y-Yes sir..! I think I'm good now, I'm ready!
Steve: Good! Do the exit count and let’s go!
Some more of skydive student Nick. A scene with his instructor Steve together in the plane seemed very good to express what I was feeling when I was up there myself a while back.
The door absolutely TERRIFIED me. Standing less than an inch away from the edge of the plane 15000 feet in the sky gave me big time chills. I was told to look skywards when I was in the door, but did the exact opposite. Why I did it? I guess I was afraid of accidentally slipping and falling out. In the afterthought, I think I was overreacting, since I would’ve taken the plunge either way, lol. Once I was in the sky, it was just a matter of staying stable and doing my exercises. Best part is finally being under the canopy and flying peacefully on your own. Which is what happened here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51132215/
