Awsome work! I could acually see this better portrayed on some sort of stained-glass or such. The kind of thing you'd see in one of the nicer asian restaurants, etc...An excellent design and coloring!

It's nice to read what ideas people have about where could this go. I just get many comments elsewhere saying this would be a nice tattoo and i kind of stuck with that idea. Tattoos are good but stained glass would be awesome.

Yea, a lot of folks will just say whatever comes to mind first. Not a bad thing, but I agree it's nice to hear some of the more random ideas. -and np!

Oh my. What medium did you use? That emerald green is so stunning, I wish to steal it, for I use that colour in just about every traditional piece I do.

When you go in to paint/draw something like this, do you simply start running the pen/pencil/brush along and coil around your own mistakes, or erase and restart? How do you chose your colours? Or is it all random?

Gel pens! I love gel pens. c:
I do a sketch, refine it into lineart (still pencil), then i choose the colors and try which gel pen blends with which one and how, outside the picture, and then think the color choices through again and then i either start coloring it or first go over the lineart with a mechanic pen/drawing pen. I may of course select new colors or put away some in progress. I usually go for colors that i think people in ancient times would have used. Limited selection. =P
