Ryu is Artemis's best friend

Ryu is a 15 year old boy who also ended up on the same island as Artemis and is very good friend to Artemis they are very close like brother's Ryu thinks that they should stay on the Dream Island
because it's their home

he got mad at Artemis when he said he wanted to leave
when Dream Island was covered in darkness Ryu and the other kids who lived on the island was taken
away by the Shadow Weavers and taken to the palace of Darkness where the Dark one lives

where he trys to escape form but has no luck he find the other kids form the island trapped in pods Ryu is shocked and yells at one of the villains saying they better not be dead and of course the villains tells them they are not they have plans for them

Ryu is later brainwashed by one of villains who is working for the dark one to make him think that Artemis isn;t really his friend

with this Ryu is now under the control of the Dark one and his minois

he is freed form the dark ones hold much much later
and he finaly remember that Artemis and him and friends ^^
