Sialnira is a purebred female Daiman Night Dragons of the House of Hydrogen. All dragons in her House possess blue plumage, but there are rare exceptions in the form of purple. She is just that exception. Among Daimans, it is called the Shining gene, after the mythical House of Shining with purple plumage. But there is no evidence that this House ever existed. So it's just a myth and a rare coloration.

The Daiman Empire was vast and was constantly expanding through its own network of passageways - rifts. The rifts were an ideal reliable and safe way to travel between worlds that could only be opened with manarcalites - pure crystallized energy that could only be extracted in the Empire's homeworld. Manarcalites were best handled by members of the House of Hydrogen. That's why the representatives of this House were always the pioneers of new ways. One of them was Sialnira. She had good training, was a professional of her craft, and worked in the farthest outskirts of the empire. Her job was to make a random jump into a new world and then open a passage for the rest of the team that created the gate. That's what she lived for, until the entire Daiman gate system collapsed in an instant. It happened just at the moment when she had just made the jump to the random world. She was unable to open a path for her team, and all the spare manarcalits were damaged. She found herself lost somewhere very far from home not knowing what had happened, but realizing that she would no longer be able to open a way back and her team would not be able to help her since they didn't know where she was. To look for a way home by other ways was impossible, it could take the whole life without the slightest result, and representatives of the House of Hydrogen by life expectancy live much less than other Houses. Sialnira understood this and accepted her fate. She did not lose heart and decided to continue to live for herself, doing what she loved. And she loved to travel. So she continued to travel freely through worlds in more primitive ways.

In the course of her wanderings she found herself in a tropical world. Even though the climate was hot for her, it was still an unusual world that interested her and she decided to stay there for a while. When she felt hungry she decided to hunt for representatives of the local fauna and began to look for suitable prey. There were different options, but they seemed small or not nutritious enough. Soon, however, a large blue bird with partially green feathers came into her sight. And large birds are a favorite food of Daiman dragons. She sneaked up close and lurked, waiting for the right moment, and when it came she took a sharp tug at her prey, clawing at it... and that's how she knew there were gryphons in this world... and that they weren't just animals, they were intelligent. Realizing the gravity of her failure, she tried diligently to make amends for her guilt and the damage caused. This gryphon's name was Grohnass. In an effort to make amends, she got to know him better and he got to know her, and they bonded. She soon realized that he had touched her heart. She didn't know how or why, but she loved him with all her soul in spite of how different they were, and it was mutual. Sial gave herself to him completely and they became a couple. She stayed in this world with Grohnass. Sialnira doesn't know how much time is allotted to her. The life of representatives of the House of Hydrogen is unpredictable. But she decided to give that time to him. So she found a new family and a new home.

This is a bit of a sketchy reference. Maybe someday I'll have time to refine it better. But I love Sial and I wanted her to have something.
