A meaningful piece conceived by Tastaturkatze who is always amazing to work with.
This commission spoke to me on a lot of levels; I love plants and being one with nature but something about entanglement really hits me.
I think part of this is about being trans... As you allow a feeling to grow it becomes a part of you and you fall further into it, feeling less and less of an escape as time goes on. But transitioning isn't all fun and wonder, it can be painful and bring up dark things you avoided for a long time. There's a lot to overcome and a lot to accept...
I should make it clear that these are just my 6pm thoughts and not necessarily what Tasta intended to convey with this piece, I'm just choosing to be open about what the piece made me feel.
