Character/costume design inspired by Robin Jarvis' 'Deptford Mice' series, in which the rats are of course vile, ugly creatures who enjoy skinning mice alive and eating them. Nice!

Sorry, I'm not quite sure I fully understood that comment, but yes I do own all three of the Deptford Histories books.

Nah, there's 6 books in all. The deptford mice (dark portal, crytal prison and final reckoning,) and the 3 in the deptford mice histories (alchemists cat, oaken throne and thomas.) check 'em out.

lolz, yeah, thats what i was getting at! Gotta try and get a ew copy of crystal prison, my copy has been read/carried around so many times, it's held to gether with hope and spit, and severely strained tape!

I just started reading the Deptford Mice series and I freakin' love it! I did a search for Deptford Mice on FA, and this drawing is one of ONLY TWO that came up. I can't believe there isn't more fanart from these books. But considering they've been around for 20 years and I only recently heard of them, maybe they have a small following.

I know right, it's criminal. They're such awesome stories, I could read them over and over and never get tired of them. There's a larger collection of fanart to be found on DeviantART, funnily enough. There was even a club for it, last time I looked.
