It has become obvious to me in retrospect that doing art constantly makes me far more proficient at actually remaining interested in an image. Nowadays I get bored and fatigued so quickly. This isn't my favorite image I've ever done, but it reminds me of what I like about my own work and the things I would lke to try to work towards again.
The biggest step? Patience.

Anyway, the south desert of Utah is a very powerful place for me. The trees are just another embodiment of the spirit that resides there.

It would be really fun to rework some things in this image now that I understand certain principals that I didn't grasp when I was working on it originally.. but I don't know if that will ever happen.
